Kishtwar, Feb 12: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Sh. Rajesh Kumar Shavan, JKAS, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting on the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) to assess progress and strategize future implementation in the district.
During the meeting, the DC emphasized the need for a time-bound approach to achieve the set targets efficiently. He directed the concerned departments to focus on key indicators to ensure effective execution of the programme. The DC stressed the expansion of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and instructed officials to process and submit all pending applications to the District Level Committee for approval in the upcoming week.
Highlighting the importance of diversified farming practices, he urged farmers to adopt Millet cultivation,Lavender cultivation, Marigold cultivation and Oil seeds cultivation across the district to promote sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture. Furthermore, the DC underscored the need for 100% target achievement under all ongoing schemes to maximize the benefits for the farming community.
The review meeting was attended by CPO Kishtwar Shahnawaz Bali, ACR Kishtwar Idrees lone, ACD Kishtwar Phulail Singh, CAO Kishtwar Amjad Hussain Malik, CHO Kishtwar Sajid Mustafa,DSHO Kishtwar Dr. Jameel Nasir,LDM Kishtwar,DAO Kishtwar, and other officials from agriculture and allied sectors.
