KATHUA, JUNE 03 - Director Horticulture, Bhawani Rakwal conducted an extensive tour of the district to take stock of the various developmental works under flagship schemes of the department.
He inspected Government Fruit Plant Nursery, Nihalpur and checked various developmental works carried out under Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP) 2016-17.
Director inspected the High Density Plantation at Duggan , Tipree Nursery at Bani and checked imported high density plantation, where success rate is encouraging besides checking the infrastructure development in the nursery covered under PMDP 2016-17. He gave on spot instructions for framing detailed proposals for fencing of the nursery area.
At Billawar Mr Rakhwal inspected Berail nursery near Ramkot and other various infrastructure created under Centrally Sponsored scheme MIDH during the year 2016-17 and also high density plantation at Phali in Bhasoli block.
He also took a review meeting at Chief Horticulture Office Kathua and exhorted upon the officers to work with zeal and dedication to meet the expectations of the orchardists for the development of the Horticulture sector.
The Director was accompanied by Chief Horticulture Officer Kathua, District Horticulture Officer Kathua and other officers of the Department.
