Girls Sports Festival- Day 2 Football, volleyball, kho-kho, kabadi matches played

 

SRINAGAR, Oct 28: On second day of Girls Sports Festival organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police, various matches in different disciplines were played at Police Public School, Bemina and Government College for Women, M.A. Road.

 

In the four football matches played, IMQ Sports Club, Mirbehari, MGL Higher Secondary School, Ishbar Nishat and Lal Public School, Bota-Kadal won their respective matches.Five volleyball matches were played in which Police Public School, Bemina defeated Moti Sport Club, Dal-Lake, Srinagar Volleyball Association defeated Anantnag Sports Club, Womens Degree College, MA Road defeated Angel Club Jammu, Women Degree College, Sumbal defeated Mehdi Club Srinagar and Star Youth Club defeated Lal Public  School, Bota-Kadal.

 

Similarly in Kabbadi event, Police Public School, Jammu, Star Youth Club, Iqbal Islamia Mission High School, Brane won their respective matches.In  Kho-Kho event, Iqbal Mission High School, Brane, Star Club Narbal, OASIS Public School, Gogjibagh, MGL Higher Secondary School, Ishbar and Police Public School Jammu were declared winners.

 

Chairperson, J&K Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA), Mrs. K. Vijaya Rajendra and member PWWA, Mrs. Palvavi Gillani and DIG CKR, Mr. G. H. Bhat were Chief Guests in different matches during the day.On the occasion, Mrs. Vijaya Rajendra interacted with participants from Kashmir and Jammu and informed that during winter season also more such festivals would be organized at Jammu, in which girls from Kashmir would also be invited to participate.
