
Srinagar, May 03: As per R&B 8,000 km road surface in the valley required macadamisation following the damage to them in 2014 floods. Post-floods 1,600 km roads in 2015 and 375 km in 2016 were macadamised.
Chief Engineer, R&B, Kashmir, Sheikh Abdul Hameed said that the department has a target of macadamising more than 1000 kilometers in Kashmir this season.
He said that macadamising roads across Kashmir has been started but weather is hampering our work. Macadamisation has been started in Mutton in Anantnag disitrct, Kulgam and Tral.
