REASI, Apr 25: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Ravinder Kumar today awarded for making Reasi block Open Defecation Free (ODF) besides taking several other initiatives to improve sanitation and cleanliness in the district.
The award was given to DC Reasi by Union Minister of State in PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh and Minister of State for Finance Ajay Nanda.
The officer was recognized by the Union Ministry for his extra ordinary dedication and achievement under ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ and outstanding work as a result of which block Reasi was made ODF in very short time.
Pertinently, DC Reasi had launched several door to door visits, awareness programmes, campaigns, follow ups etc to mobilize general public towards sanitation.
