
JAMMU, Apr 17: Eight Pakistani soldiers were reported killed when Indian Forces retaliated to unprovoked heavy shelling and firing from across the Line of Control (LoC) in several areas of Nowshera sector in Rajouri district on Monday.
Reports said eight Pakistan troopers were killed after their post was hit by a mortar shell across Nowshera sector this morning but there was no official confirmation of the Pakistani casualties.
Two Army jawans on this side sustained minor injuries.
An Indian Army soldier was martyred in accidental firing in the border district of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir, an official said on Tuesday.
