NEW DELHI,Apr 11: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy on Tuesday said that that the Election Commission (EC) of India should cancel elections in Kashmir for at least two years.
"With the ruckus that is happening across Kashmir, Election Commission (EC) of India should cancel the elections for at least two years so that peace prevails and violence issues are sorted out," Swamy said.
Swamy said "To maintain peace in Kashmir the government should send 10,000 soldiers with lots of arms, ammunitions and money, so that they can reside and maintain law and order in the state."
Violence was reported from all the three districts , Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal, which are part of srinagar parliamentary seat and eight civilians were killed in clashes.
