UDHAMPUR, Mar 22: Thousands of Students participated in Khelo India games in district Udhampur organized under the banner of J&K Sports Council , which concluded at Sports stadium Udhampur on Wednesday.
Minister for Food civil supply and Consumer Affairs Zulfikar Ali was the Chief Guest on the occasion ,DC Udhampur Niraj Kumar was the guest of honour and Rahil Gupta ,Vice Chairman of District sports council Udhampur was the special guest.

Vice Chairman Sports Council Udhampur , Rahil Gupta in his welcome address briefed the Minister about the achievements of Sports Council Udhampur and how Khelo India games with massive participation of more than 5000 participants from all block of Udhampur has set the sports tempo in the district.
Zulfkar Choudhary while addressing budding sportsperson , motivated them to participate in sports activities irrespective of results they achieve.
Zulfkar said that it is important to play sports in addition to studies and it helps in increasing concentration power and Sportsperson are the role model for society.

Zulfkar appreciated the efforts of sports council to take the mega event in every nook & corner of the state and praised DC Udhampur Niraj Kumar and Vice Chairman Udhampur Sports Council Rahil Gupta for putting efforts in improving sports activities in the district.
DC Udhampur Niraj Kumar , who is also the Chairman of Udhampur Sports Council promised to promote sports in the District and asked the youngster to participate in large numbers in the games and sports .
G.S Chib ,Director CAPD; Vinod Singh Sambyal Joint Controller,CAPD, Chief sports officer , Abdul Qayoom, Ravi Singh sports officer & other sports council officers in the mega event were also present, besides large gathering of the locals.
The Games were organized under close super vision of Ashok Singh Manager M.A stadium Jammu; Incharge Manager Udhampur stadium Shaktish Chopra, S.P Singh , Satish Gupta and coaches of Sports council.
