Bali inspects DH Ramban, calls for augmentation of services
 

RAMBAN, MARCH 20: Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today paid visit to District Hospital Ramban and took stock of its functioning.  During the visit, he inspected various units and wards including emergency, and issued necessary instructions to the hospital administration to further improve the Medicare and sanitation conditions in and around the hospital.  

MLA Ramban, Neelam Kumar Langeh and CMO Ramban, Dr Saif-ud-Din accompanied the Minister.

The Minister also interacted with the doctors, patients and attendants and enquired about their difficulties and facilities available in the hospital. He directed for maintaining the duty roaster for doctors and paramedics to ensure availability of doctors round the clock.  He also directed for prominently displaying the roaster of specific colored bed sheets to be replaced on daily basis in the hospital. He issued instructions to the doctors to prescribe medicines to the patients preferably, which are available in hospital stock, however, in case the necessary medicine is not in stock, than they should write only generic medicines with capital letters.

The Minister also inspected the under-construction Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery Training (ANMT) School and received updates regarding starting classes and availability of staff and infrastructure. He issued instructions to the concerned to take necessary steps to make the institution functional from the ensuing academic session.

Subsequently, the Minister chaired a meeting of district officers and reviewed the functioning of various departments. He sanctioned Rs 60 lakh for the construction of residential quarters for the doctors and paramedical staff and Rs 64.4 lakh for the construction of mortuary and Canteen in DH Ramban.

           While reviewing the progress of PHE, Irrigation, PWD, PMGSY and health sectors, the Minister directed the concerned to attend people’s issues on priority for which the present government is committed. He urged the officers to pay frequent field visits to address the basic issues on the spot.  He urged the officers to work in close synergy for achieving the desired goal holistic development of the district. He said it is endeavor of the present government to provide better infrastructural facilities to the people, for which the officers hard work and coordinated approach is must. He said Government’s duty is to arrange sources, but it is the administration which has to make a firm planning and percolate the resources at the grass-root level for the welfare of the masses, he asserted.

While reviewing the functioning of health department in the district, he directed the CMO to nominate and depute a medical officer for undergoing training in Radiology to augment the Radiology unit in DH Ramban which is dire need. He also directed for mooting a proposal for upgradation of Health Centres of Kanthi and Neera as Health Sub Centres.

          Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Aijaz, SSP, Ramban, Mohan Lal, SSP Traffic, Sanjay Bhagat, ADDC, Ravinder Nath Sadhu, CPO Uttam Singh, CMO, Dr Saif-ud-Din, other concerned officers of different departments and prominent citizen of Ramban were present in the meeting.
