Srinagar: Nazir Ahmad Khan of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday filed his nomination for the Srinagar Lok Sabha seat at the office of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar.
The elections for the Srinagar-Budgam parliamentary seat are scheduled on April 9.
Khan was accompanied by senior PDP leaders Muzaffar Hussain Beig and Imran Ansari.
Imran Ansari who has been out of picture for a while returned back into picture and excited all his followers , when he accompanied Khan to DC office.
Imran Ansari , who is one of the PDP's strong man ,is the shia face of the party and has influence in youth too.
Sources told Cross Town News that CM Mehbooba Mufti and Imran Ansari had a closed door meeting and issues are soon to be resolved.
