RAMNAGAR, MARCH 17 - SDM Ramnagar , Baseer-ul-Haq today held a meeting to review arrangements for smooth conduct of Shri Chauntra Mata Annual Pilgrimage commencing on 28th March 2017 ,i.e., on first Navratra.
During the meeting, the SDM directed the Police Department to ensure sufficient security arrangements while the Block Medical Officer was asked to deploy ambulance and paramedical staff along with the medicines at the shrine. PDD department would provide uninterrupted power supply and PHE department would ensure the availability of sufficient water supply, directed the SDM.
The SDM also instructed President, Matador Union to ensure adequate plying of vehicles and fixed Rs 40 as fare from Ramnagar to Shaprian.
Threadbare discussion was also held on arrangements like drinking water facility, power supply, first-aid, transport and sanitation en-route.
Pertinently, the Akhand Jyoti would be lit on the first day of Navratra at Narsingh Ji Temple in Ramnagar town and would remain there for darshan till 28 March, 2017. The Holy Jyoti would be carried further to Chountra Mata Darbar on 2nd of April, 2017 which would be accompanied by a procession of devotees.
Among others, Executive Engineer PMGSY, Tehsildar, Ramnagar, Executive Officer, MC, Station House Officer, Ramnagar, Engineers of PDD & PWD and members of Akhand Jyoti Committee were present in the meeting.
