
New Delhi, March 15: Vacancies in IAS have reached an alarming level, a parliamentary panel noted & said that it will require decades to fill the existing shortage of IAS officers.
The panel said that vacancies of IAS as on January 1, 2016 which stand at 1,470 against sanctioned strength of 6,396. The Committee recommended that efforts be made to fill these vacancies.( Input from agencies)
