Jammu, March 14: SVO arrested Shah Sikander Khan who was allegedly involved in facilitating illegal construction of a house in Nishat in Srinagar outskirts.
Reports said that Khan has been arrested since the investigation in the case cannot proceed until the accused is not interrogated. A FIR No. 53/2015 was registered Police Station VOK against the then Enforcement officer of LAWDA DySP Shah Sikander Khan and others and the beneficiary.
The official said that the VOK conducted investigation into construction of a double storey house owned and constructed at Ishber Nishat in 2014 without obtaining any building permission from LAWDA.
They have been accused of allowing the accused to raise illegal construction and then neither stopped nor demolished the said structure. Khan and others have abused their official positions by conferring undue favour, advantage, benefit and wrongful gain to the owner. Reports said that there were some other FIR's wer also registerd againest the accused.
