Benguluru, March 30: The state unit of the BJP has filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India, demanding the immediate transfer of senior IPS officer Hemant Nimbalkar whose wife is contesting from the Uttara Kannada Lok Sabha seat as a Congress candidate.
The BJP demanded to relieve Nimbalkar from all election related works as “it would be a conflict of interest”.
Presently, Nimbalkar is serving as commissioner of the Department of the Information and Public Relations.
