Jammu, Mar 27: Special Judge Anti Corruption and cases, Bala Jyoti sent a Patwari and a chowkidar to 13-day judicial custody, who were arrested on Tuesday on bribery charges.
Special Judge, Bala Jyoti observed that the accused were arrested on 26/03/2024 in case FIR No. RC004202440002 for offence under section 7 of P.C. Act 1986 (as amended in 2018) as per the Medical certificate, accused were medically examined and found physically fit.
The court further observed that investigation of the case is at its infancy, statements of material witnesses are yet to be recorded by the IO besides accused are involved in a serious offence.
They are remanded to judicial custody for a period of 13 days only.
They are to be lodged in District Jail Amphalla, Jammu with a direction to the Investigating Officer to expedite the investigation.
