SRINAGAR, Oct 06:The J&K Government Tuesday said Rs 8.90 lakh are required for replacement of 139 damaged distribution transformers in Kathua district.
In reply to a question by MLA Jeevan Lal, Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, who is incharge Power Minister said 139 damaged transformers are lying at different sites of Bani, Basohli and Billawar constituencies which are to be carried to divisional workshop in Kathua.
"In addition, 20 MVA, 66/11 KV Power Transformer is lying at Hatli Morh, Receiving Sub-Station for repair purposes. There is no sub-station in Bani constituency which is without electricity from five to six months," he said.
