Sopore, Feb 24: People assembled raising pro freedom and anti India slogans after the congregational prayers in old Jamia Masjid in Sopore, causing clashes.
Peoples were also demanding release of youth arrested by the police. Security forces were constrained to open tear gas to disperse the protesters who were pelting stone on the forces.
Reports of clashes have been also received from Jamia Qadeem area in the town. There are no reports of any mis incidence received so far..
