Congress & Omar Abdullah took dig at PM Modi on "kabaristaan-shamshaan" remark

SRINAGAR, Feb 20: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah  took a did at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said the BJP is back to religious cards.

Modi had said that "if there is a ‘kabaristaan' (graveyard), there should be a ‘shamshaan' (cremation ground) too in a village, "if there is electricity during Ramzan, it should be there on Diwali too".

This statement of Prime Minister Modi evoked sharp reaction from Congress and other mainstream political parties.

Omatr Abdullah tweeted  "For all the talk of "vikas" & "parivartan" true to form we are back to the religious card. Things must be going very badly for BJP in UP".

On other statement of PM Modi that SP did not respect ideals of Ram Manohar Lohia ji by allying with Congress, Omar tweeted  "It's ok  for BJP to betray the ideals of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee when they ally with PDP but SP must be held to a higher standard, right?".
