Jammu, July 26:A meeting of District Congress Committee Jammu Urban was held in ward No. 52 (Preet Nagar) of Block Trikuta Nagar and Gandhi Nagar. Former Minister & PCC Vice President Shri Raman Bhalla was the Chief Guest on the occasion and meeting was presided over the President DCC Jammu (U) Shri Anil Chopra. The meeting was organized by Sdr. Sunder Singh Dutta-General Secretary BCC in association with Dr. Vijay Sharma-President BCC and Shri Daya Ram-President Ward No. 52 (Preet Nagar).
While addressing the gathering Shri Raman Bhalla said that the Congress is a strong, vibrant and unifying force which represents each and every section of the pluralistic society and is a vibrant political party in all three regions of the state and asked the party workers and activists to be vigilant and to question BJP over its policy of surrendering on the core issues of Jammu and asked them to strongly oppose their polices.
He said that BJP is trying to divert the attention of people on the issue of AIIMS besides, denial of relief to the rain affected people, is the utter failure and betrayal of BJP to safeguard the genuine interests of the people of the region and is showing total bankruptcy of leadership and has disrespected the mandate of people of Jammu region by taking U-Turn on all its core issues and commitments were made during the election campaigns to the electorates.The meeting also highlighted the local issues like as the coverage of nallahs, dilapidated conditions of lanes, drains and link roads, shortage of ration, unscheduled power cuts and water supply.
