JAMMU, Jan 31: Minister for Youth Services & Sports, Imran Raza Ansari today said that the Government will develop appropriate sports infrastructure in all districts to give boost to the sports activities.
"Under a Special Package for Development of Sports Infrastructure, Multipurpose Indoor Sports Halls will be constructed in all the Districts, including Zadibal constituency," he said.
Replying to a Question by Abid Hussain Ansari, the Minister said that the Government was also considering introducing Rehbar-e-Khel scheme to engage trained youth on the pattern of ReT to promote sports.
He further said that a playing field has been developed at Gulshan Bagh having mini pavilion and other facilities for carrying out the sports activities.
Similarly, construction of pavilion at Gani Khan Stadium has also been taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 79 lakh with multiple facilities for the sportspersons, he added.
