KATHUA, Jan 31: District Development Commissioner Ramesh Kumar inaugurated District-Level Science Exhibition organized by the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Basholi under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) at Government Middle School, Chack Sheikhan, here today.
While addressing the participants DDC said that the aim of conducting such exhibition is to nurture the talent of the students besides developing scientific temperament.
He appreciated the students for their exhibits and said that science exhibition provides a platform for the students to express their innovative ideas.
A Colorful cultural programme was also presented by the students on the occasion.
The students showcased the models based on the sub themes viz industry, natural resources and conservation, transportation communication, information and educational technology, community health and environment, global warming and mathematical modeling.
62 science models from various government schools of 10 educational zones of district Kathua were displayed during the exhibition.
Chief Education Officer Kathua, District Information Officer, Principal DIET Basholi, Vice Principal DIET, HOD DIET, teachers and students were presents on the occasion.
