Governor invites J&K’s Outstanding Achievers to “At Home”

            JAMMU, JANUARY 25: Governor N.N. Vohra has invited J&K’s outstanding achievers for the Republic Day Celebration “At Home” function which will be held at the Convention Centre, Jammu. There will be a separate enclosure for the achievers at the function.

          The achievers invited are: Shri Chain Singh, Expert Marksman, J&K’s First Olympian; Ms. Tajamul Islam, Gold Medalist, World Kick Boxing Championship; Ms Meenal Gupta, under 14th Commonwealth Chess Champion; Shri Rakshak Jandiyal, 2nd Asian Rollball Championship, (Gold Medalist ); Master Hashim Mansoor, Gold in Asian Youth Karate Championship; Ms. Garvita Gupta, Silver Medalist at 2nd Asian Rollball Championship; Shri Rajinder Singh, Silver Medalist at 9th Asian Wushu Championship  ; Ms. Ankita Chopra, Silver Medalist at 2nd Asian Rollball Championship; Shri Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh, Silver Medalist at World Master’s Challenge 8th Wushu Sanda World Cup; S. Chandeep Singh, Specially-abled Skater, Bronze at National Skating Championship.

          The special invitees include Lt. Col. Ranveer Singh Jamwal, who conquered over 20 Peaks; Shri Parvez Rasool, Cricketer, Ms. Tsering Angmo, Ms. Tashi Laskit, Ms. Rigzin Dolkar, and Ms. Stanzin Laskit, who scaled World’s highest peak Mount Everest; Ms. Zaira Khan, actress; Shri Aman Dogra, who represented in Asian Youth Sport Climbing Competition; Shri Tarun Gandotra, who represented in World Inline Hockey Championship; Shri Dhananjay Singh Charak, who represented in 8th World Body Building & Physique Sports Championship; Shri Sahil Gupta, who represented in Asian Roller Hockey Championship; Shri Vansh Mahajan, who represented in Thailand and Hong Kong Open Fencing Championships and Shri Mohammad Akbar Khan, Champion Cyclist, have also been invited to the function.
