Lakhanpur, Dec 30: Dy. Commissioner state Taxes Enforcement Kathua ( HQ- Lakhanpur ), Ranjeet Singh JKAS, while reviewing the weeklong intensive Enforcement activity and also the Month long Enforcement activities carried out here in kathua district informed that a Penalty to the tune of Rs. 58 lacs was levied and realized from the defaulters under various provisions of the J&K GST Act 2017.
Furthermore it was informed that up to 30 Dec 2023 Penalty to the tune of Rs 3.34 crores was levied and realized from the defaulters apart from carrying out various kind of educative activities during year long exercise for the benefit of Tax payers under Tax awareness initiative “ Kar Yogdaan Rashtra nirmaan , state taxes enforcement Kathua made remarkable progress in awairing the masses for tax compliance under GST .
The whole exercise was carried under the Supervision of Ranjeet Singh JKAS ,Dy. Commissioner Enforcement Kathua under overall supervision of Dr. Rashmi Singh IAS , Commissioner State Taxes J&K and Namrata Dogra JKAS, Addl Commissioner, Jammu Division.
