Srinagar, Dec 16: In a joint operation conducted by the Special Task Force and local police officials arrested a fraudster namely Sayed Ishaan Bukhar R/O Handwara, under sections 419, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, and 120(B) of the IPC, read with Section 66 C/66 D of the IT Act, 2000, who was impersonating as PMO official, Doctor and Army Officer arrested with Suspected Anti-National Links in Neulpur, Dharmshala, Jajpur, Odisha.
During the raid, a substantial amount of incriminating evidence was seized, including over 100 documents. Investigations revealed that Bukhari had been impersonating as a Neuro Specialist Doctor, an Army Doctor, an officer in the Prime Minister's Office, and a close associate of high-ranking NIA officials. Among the confiscated items were forged documents, including a medical degree certificate from Cornel University, USA, as well as from the Canadian Health Services Institute and Christian Medical College, Vellore. Blank signed documents, affidavits, bonds, numerous identity cards, ATM cards, blank cheques, Aadhar cards, visiting cards, and more were also discovered.
