JAMMU, Nov 28: Rakesh Balwal , IPS has been posted as SSP of Thoubal district in Manipur.
Rakesh , who hails from Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir , has remained SSP Srinagar , before repatriation to Manipur Cadre .
Thoubal witnessed communal violence between Meteis and Kukis.
The district is 15 kms from capital Imphal and is the most strategic district of Manipur on India-Myanmar-Thailand Trilateral Highway.
