Service Selection Board and DivCom office Jammu failed to reply under RTI


 

JAMMU, Jan 17: Government  has framed RTI Act to provide information to public within a stipulated period of time but not followed on ground by such big offices like office of Divisional Commissioner Jammu.

An application under RTI was submitted to PIO, Div. Com.  Jammu with due receipt on 27.09.2016 with fee in shape of PO No. 08 F- 867213.                 

Information was to be provided within 30 days but not bothered by the PIO.

First  appeal was filed duly receipt on 24.11.2016 by the Div. Com office for no response. However the applicant got a call from the said office last week for hearing of appeal & as applicant was out of station and  informed the concerned to provide him the information as requested in form-I.

The applicant reported that time period of 45 days to decide the appeal exhausted on 8.01.2016 but no reply speaks of implementation of RTI Act by such a big office. However applicant informed that he will wait for one week more thereafter 2nd appeal shall be filed.                

An applicant filed an application under RTI to PIO, SSRB, Jammu with due receipt No.8593 dated 01.12.2016, for which time fixed to provide the information has been exhausted but no reply speaks that how the RTI is bothered in the state is a matter of concern to be looked into but by whom.
