High Court seeks personal appearance of top level Govt Officers, if fails to  deposit the remaining amount

Jammu, Oct 7: In CPOWP No. 203/2017 titled Manohar Lal and others  V/s M. Raju and another after hearing HON’BLE MRS. JUSTICE SINDHU SHARMA, JUDGE ORDER 

Mr. Amit Gupta, learned AAG has placed on record communication of the Collector Land Acquisition, RTIC Kathua, which states that out of the entire awarded amount of Rs. 72,01,985/-, an amount of Rs. 29,57,500/- has been received.

It is also stated that the acquittance roll for disbursement of land compensation has been verified and submitted by the Tehsildar Hiranagar on 29.09.2023.

02. Mr. Amit Gupta, learned AAG submits that they require some more time to deposit the remaining amount.

03. Respondents are granted six weeks’ further time to deposit the entire awarded amount in terms of communication dated 05.10.2022, and the Collector Land Acquisition shall disburse the available amount to the petitioners and rightful claimants, failing which, respondent No. 2 shall appear in person
