DC Jammu sets target : But targets on alienation of Khads as per LG/CS orders?

JAMMU, OCTOBER 7: In meetings always all officers from super top just to show their efficiency, issue countless directions but after that none bothered to act on non compliances, 

It is well aware of the fact that once upon a time Administrative Council headed by LG along with CS, Advisor approved a decision no 17/1/22022 dtd 29th Jan 2022 & directed DCs of Kathua, Samba & Jammu to complete the exercise of alienation of Khads in three months but in reference to SRO 456 of 2017 dtd 25th Oct 2017, which was followed by GO No 18-JK(rev) of 2022 dtd 4th Feb 2022 but .

Recently on 25th July 2023, Chief Secretary, Dr Arun Mehta, directed Revenue Department to complete the said issue in one moth.

Today, District Development Commissioner, Sachin Kumar Vaishya presided over a meeting to assess skill development activities in the district & the meeting, which included representatives from different departments, institutes and organisations involved in skill training, entrepreneurship development and other initiatives, aimed to align and focus their efforts for better implementation and public benefit.

The meeting set an ambitious target of providing approximately 12,500 skill development training opportunities, now let us see how DC Jammu act on targets issued by LG/CS/Govt from time to over alienation of Khads, otherwise which shall speak of implementations of other instructions issued by him from time to time?

The DDC assigned specific targets to each organisation, emphasising the importance of imparting skill training and self-employment opportunities to eligible youth and adults.

The participants included officers from the Rural Development Department, PM Mahila Shakti Kendra, Industries Department, Employment and Counselling Department, SBI, RSETI, Handlooms Department, JKEDI, KVIB, Government Polytechnic and Industrial Training Institute and others.

Addressing the assembly, the DDC underscored the vital role of rural and border populations in the district's development & expressed a commitment to supporting these communities by facilitating outreach efforts, regardless of their geographical location. A particular focus of the meeting was women empowerment.

The DDC lauded the talent and progressiveness of women and stressed the need to provide them with equal opportunities to participate in the economy and secure dignified livelihoods.

Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Sandeep Seointra; Assistant Commissioner Development, Preeti Sharma, Lead District Manager SBI, the Principals of Government Polytechnic Colleges and Industrial Training Institutes besides others were part of the meeting.
