Jammu,Jan 15: Lambasting the State government for glorifying the subversive anti-nationals and disregarding the supreme sacrifices made by the martyrs who laid down their lives while guarding the Motherland, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and Former Minister dubbed the recent Ex-Gratia to NOKs of militants and stone pelters as downright abuse to the National sentiment. He was addressing the press conference in Jammu today.
While addressing the media, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh regretted that close on the heels of ex-gratia announced in favour of next of the kin of Burhan Wani’s brother Khalid muzaffar Wani an OGW of Hizbul Mujahideen, the Chief Minister made yet another obnoxious announcement regarding compensation and govt. jobs to the NOKs of stone pelters who had waged war against the State in the valley. He lamented that Rs 5 lacs would be paid as ex-gratia along with govt. jobs in specified cases to the family members of the subversives who died while fighting the security forces in the recent turmoil in Kashmir.Deploring the criminal silence of the BJP over the issue, Mr. Singh said that the Saffron party had forgotten its kernel philosophy and once again proven that it could swallow anything for remaining glued to power.Accusing the sinister BJP- PDP combine of glorifying the militants and subversives, he wondered that under which policy was the ex-gratia and jobs announced for those who had waged war against the State, torched schools, destroyed over 50 police stations and security camps, snatched weapons from armed forces, killed several security personnel and injured several thousands, while the State coffers remained dry for the martyrs.
Expressing serious concern over the blatant disregard of the martyrs in the State, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh revealed that since last couple of years several defence and security personnel had attained supreme sacrifice while confronting worse Pak sponsored terror attacks besides persistent heavy shelling and firing from across the border but the State government paid no heed to provide ex-gratia to the next of kin of martyrs which was no less than a national sacrilege. Likewise, several farmers and residents of forward hamlets had lost their loved ones, crops and livestock during the ongoing border skirmishes but they were deplorably denied compensation of any sort by the dispensation.He divulged that those sons of soil who laid down their lives during Amarnath Ji land row had been dishonoured and forgotten by the BJP partnered government . Moreover, it had registered several police cases against those who raised slogans of ‘Vande Matram’ in Rajouri, Poonch and also those students of NIT Srinagar who unfurled National flag in Srinagar. He questioned the State government and the BJP in particular that what kind of regime was running in the State where the compensation was announced for the militants and the anti-nationals but the nationalists and the martyrs were mortified. Mr. Singh said that power intoxicated BJP owed an explanation to the people for its treacherous and dual faced character as it along with PDP were blatantly resorting to the policy of appeasement towards the secessionists and the militant outfits operating in the valley. He said that Panthers party would oppose, expose and depose the Saffron brigade for bringing disgrace to the nationalist Dogras besides spending tax payers money to pay compensation to the enemies of the State.
