Srinagar, Sep 12: Dr. Piyush Singla, IAS, Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department, conducted a comprehensive review today with the Jammu and Kashmir Land Records Management Agency, Jammu and Kashmir e Governance Agency, IT department, and representatives from the National Informatics Centre.
Dr. Piyush Singla emphasized the importance of smooth and hassle-free service delivery for revenue services, which are highly sought after online services. He stressed the need for real-time resolution of technical issues to ensure timely service delivery. He said the department is closely monitoring service delivery at the highest level and is committed to providing efficient services within the specified timeframe. Dr. Piyush Singla assured complete support to the Technical departments in achieving this goal.
During the review, it was reported that services such as Agriculture certificate and Alienation of Land Certificate have been developed and are currently undergoing testing. These services are expected to be launched by the end of this month. Additionally, new services like general caste certificate and unmarried certificate have been added. Furthermore, all services on the Jan Sugam portal and some services on Revenue Plus have been integrated with Digi Locker. The process of linking all services with Digi Locker is currently underway as a priority.
Change in Land use service, which is already available on Revenue Plus, will have the added feature of online delivery of CLU permission. This will eliminate the need for applicants to visit the Government Offices to collect the permission. The development of a Natural Calamities Relief Assistance service, aimed at providing timely relief assistance to victims of natural calamities, is also in progress for integration with Revenue Plus.
Dr Singla issued special instructions that all portals of Revenue Department must have tools like Screen Reader, options to vary colour themes, to ensure ease of access to Specially Abled persons.
The review covered various aspects data management and reporting on Jansugam and Revenue Plus portal, the functioning of the Domicile Portal, the adoption of Digital Signature for authentication of issued documents, and NeSDA compliance.
The meeting was attended by Special Secretary Revenue, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, JKAS, Nasir Ali, JKAS, Assistant Commissioner, Survey and Land Records, Rachna Sharma, JKAS, Deputy Secretary, IT Department, representatives from JaKLaRMA, NIC and JaKeGA.
