JAMMU, Jan 13: The Rail Metro projects 30 kms route in Jammu city and 45 kms in Srinagar city have picked up intensity.
The route in Jammu will be from Amphalla Chowk to Bari Brahmana via Bikram Chowk, Gandhi Nagar, Satwari & Bakshi Nagar to Purmandal Morh via BC Road , Bagh-e-Bahu and Trikuta Nagar.
In Srinagar city, the 45 kms tentative routes suggested in the City Mobility Plan is from Nowgam Railway Station to SKIMS via Bagh-e-Mehtab, Rambagh, Jawahar Nagar, City Secretariat, Barbarshah, Now-hatta, Hawal, Alamgari Bazar and Pantha Chowk to Shalteng via Lasjan, Badami Bagh Lal Chowk, Civil Sectt, Tatoo Ground, Bemian.
Sources told Cross Town News that DivCom Kashmir Baseer Khan couple of days ago took a high level meeting to finalize the DPR and funding related expenses.
While Speaking to Cross Town News, DivCom Kashmir said we are working on it with intensity.
Similar exercises are being carries in Jammu also and points are going to be finalized in couple of weeks.
Jpanese firm will financial support to the project and the company RITES will prepare DPR for a length of 45 kms in Srinagar city and 30 kms for the capital city of Jammu.
