DC Poonch asks JJM Officers to formulate plan in consultation with DDCs, BDCs


POONCH, OCTOBER 3: Implementation of District Jal Jeevan Mission (DJJM) was today reviewed here at a meeting of the concerned departments. District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet chaired the meeting and reviewed the allotment of works under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) to provide potable drinking water facility to each and every household of India till 2024.
A threadbare discussion was held in connection with the implementation of the mission.
The SE Hydraulic, Er. Rajinder K Sharma, informed the chair about the progress achieved so far and the future work plan. He also  presented approval of 23 works in the meeting, including 22 works approved for the allotment to the contractors after the completion of the codal formalities / submission of necessary documents by the contractors as per the JJM guidelines and the General Financial Rules 2019.
The Deputy Commissioner was apprised by the Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Poonch, that out of 128 water supply schemes approved under the Jal Jeevan Mission program in the District, 22 are under the process of allotment, Technical Evaluation/Financial evaluation of 8 schemes is under process and 98 works   which did not get any response are being put to fresh tenders after amendments/modifications in the SBD conditions for speedy execution of the JJM works in the District.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officers to formulate/prepare the plan in consultation with the DDCs, BDCs, PRIs and get it duly authenticated by the gram Sabha and take suggestions on feasibility of the work from the technical department.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Abdul Sattar,  District Forest Officer (T), CPO, Madan Lal, ACD, Abid Hussain Shah, CMO, Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti, CEO, Bishamber Das, DIO, Vishal Deep Chandan, Chief Agriculture Officer, Raskesh Sharma, District Social Welfare Officer, Mohinder Paul, Xen PHE, Muneer Hussain besides other concerned officers were present.
