JAMMU, Jan 07: JK Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (JKMSCL) has suspended registration of the pharma company which supplied mislabeled drugs to GB Pant Hospital in Srinagar.
The G B Pant hospital had reported that Vancomycin (antibiotic) injection boxes had assorted vials of Prednisolone (steroid) injections and both drugs had the same packaging and labeling design.
On complaints, the Drug and Food Control Organisation had conducted on spot check and seized 12,000 vials of injections from the hospital and additional 9000 vials from the drug warehouse at GMC Srinagar.
Top offical of JKMSCL said, “The registration of the Himachal based MNC that had supplied Vancomycin with wrong labeling has been cancelled by us and it has been blacklisted for futiure”
