Prepare for upcoming Assembly Elections in J&K:Zulfikar Ali asks Apni Party workers


RAJOURI, JUNE 28:- Apni Party Vice President and Former Cabinet Minister, Choudhary Zulfikar Ali has asked the Party leaders and workers to gear-up for upcoming Assembly Elections in J&K.

Addressing a delegate convention of the Party at Taryath in Rajouri District, Ch. Zulfikar Ali said that the Party leaders and workers should work among the people and resolve their issues by highlighting them before the authorities.

On this occasion, the Party leaders and workers unanimously elected Ex-Sarpanch, Thakur Baldev Singh (Kala Shah) as Block President of Apni Party of the Ghai Bass Block.  His name was proposed for the post byh the prominent people and the party leaders in presence of the office bearers of the Apni Party. Prior to this, Thakur Baldev Singh was the Block President of the National Conference.

Ch. Zulfikar Ali congratulated him on his election as Block President Ghai Bass and hoped that his election would strengthen the Party’s base and the Party will grow in the Block under his leadership.

While speaking in the convention which was attended by hundreds of leaders and workers, Zulfikar stressed upon the workers to work dedicatedly to solve the basic problems and issues of the people in the backward Block Ghai Bass and prepare themselve for upcoming Assembly Elections in J&K in order to defeat the nefarious design of the anti-social elements who are bent upon to destroy social fabric among the society.

He further stated that “The Apni Party under the leadership of Syed Altaf Bukhari sahab is working tirelessly for the betterment, honour and dignity of the people of J&K.”

He criticized the State Administration for neglecting the backward areas and the remote areas on the developmental fronts.

He also stressed upon the LG Administration to provide the adequate relief and compensation to the nomadic population whose livestock have been parished or washed away in the unseasonal rains/snowfall in Pir Panjal.

Meanwhile, he criticized the Tribal Affairs Department for shamelessly organising big events and awarding distribution to the people at the time when the entire tribal community is passing through a very difficult time and losses worth lakhs have been suffered.

He also expressed concern over the slow pace of developmental works initiated by the previous Govt and over growing unemployment in the Region.

Earlier, he hoped that under the leadership of Thakur Baldev Singh, who is chosen as Block President, the Party will grow further rand strength in the area and will work tirelessly for the betterment of the area and the poor people and definitely help in resolving the basic issues of the people in the area.

Among others who attended the meeting included Bushan Uppal, Abdul Rahman Sarpanch, Haji Choudhary Nazir Hussain, Ch. Abdul Aziz Chairman, Farooq Anjum, Zaffar Iqbal, Chouduary Qasir Din, Thakur Chain Singh ex sarpanch, other sarpanches, panches and prominent workers of the area.

In his address following his election as Block President, Thakur Baldev Singh assured the leadership that he will leave no stone unturned for the betterment of the area and growth of the Party.
