RMSA revived successfully in JK: Naeem Akhtar


          PULWAMA, DECEMBER 26: Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar, today said the Government has succeeded in reviving Rashtriya Madhiyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) in the State with district Pulwama emerging as a major beneficiary under the scheme.

          The Minister said this while reviewing the functioning of the Government Schools in Pulwama district. He stressed on the officials of Education Department to utilize the facilities under RMSA and other schemes for the maximum benefit of the students.

          He said under RMSA, Pulwama will see a major change in education sector as 33 High School buildings and five Girls hostel buildings are being constructed under this scheme. On the occasion, Akhtar was informed that RMSA funded Girls hostels will have 100-bed capacity each and will help significantly in augmenting the department’s infrastructure in the district.

          The Minister also visited GHSS Pulwama, which is the CM’s Super- 50 coaching centre for the district. He was apprised of the arrangements being put in place to provide quality education to the students during winters. He was accompanied by Director School Education Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, CEO Pulwama and other concerned officers.

          The Director Education informed the Minister that adequate heating arrangement and other facilities have been made for the smooth functioning of these training and coaching centres during winters.

          The Minister desired that the winter coaching centres be started at the earliest. The Education Minister said that the goal of the Department should be to achieve hundred percent literacy rate and imparting quality education to the students, so that they can excel in every sphere of life.
