Bhim Singh writes to Governor urging for imposition of Governor Rule in J&K

S. Sidartha Paramedical Training Institute, Sunjwan, Jammu

JAMMU: Prof.Bhim Singh had written at letter  to Shri N.N. Vohra, Governor of J&K urging for imposition of Governor Rule in J&K.

The content of letter :   “I am taking this liberty urging upon your honour to dissolve the present J&K Assembly and dismiss the BJP-PDP government as the present government has totally failed to govern the State for the past five months. The Supreme Court of India had also sought information through the Attorney-General of India while hearing a writ petition filed by the Panthers Party before the Supreme Court seeking intervention of the Supreme Court for appropriate direction to the Union of India within the meaning and scope of Article 370.

I had filed rejoinder to the report submitted by the Attorney-General of India on the existing situation in J&K. I had maintained that the Governor has to act under Section 92 of J&K Constitution by taking over the governance in J&K as the present government comprising PDP and BJP had failed to govern. This is clear from the reports from Kashmir this afternoon that life was affected in Kashmir Valley today due to a strike called by Hurriyat Conference and others.

The authentic report today revealed that the shops, fuel stations and business establishments in Kashmir remained shut. Even the public transport failed to operate. This makes it clear that the present government has failed to perform and there is no working of the government.

It is urged on the Hon’ble Governor to impose Governor Rule by invoking Section 92 of the Constitution of J&K read with Article 370 of the Constitution of India in the interest of security and sovereignty of India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.

I strongly urge the Hon’ble Governor to exercise his authority in the interest of unity, security and sovereignty vis-à-vis J&K. Governor Rule is the only way out.”
