SRINAGAR, Sep 13: J&K’s first International half marathon turned into kind of “Azadi event” with stone-throwing protest.As the 21-kilometer Marathon started, some youth raised pro-freedom slogans and resorted to stone throwing on the policemen resulting in clashes. As the situation turned out of control, police resorted to cane charge and fired tear smoke shells to disperse off the protesters. Around 5000 people from different parts including Politicians, Cricketer Parvez Rasool and J&K Administrative Officials.
