Jammu, November 24. Thousands of cases are hanging in courts due to negligence on the parts of officers as they don't care to file response well in time.
Honble courts so many times pass orders to file response followed by last and final opportunitys but the officers prefer to sit on files.
Recently DB has ordered to CS of the state to appear in person today in a contempt petition filed by secretaries of Chief Justice and Judges.
This is not only the example of the personal appearance there are hundreds of such cases.
In SWP 1676 of 2013 high court has given so many times last and final opportunity to file response to the supplementary afidavt filed by the petioner followed by counter closed but the officers don't bothered speaks of supremacy of officers over the high Cour orders.
In real such kind of officers are the real dead woods.
Shall Chief Minister and Law Minister act on such officers by calling department wise details of cases where response are delayed by offices despite court order's for early disposal of the cases.
Shall Honble Judges act tough to punish the officers for non compliance of their orders otherwise contempt clearly speaks as to punish the officers who illfully/wilfully delay the implementation of court order's passed from time to time.
