
RAJOURI, DECEMBER 26: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the performance of the Rural Development Department. Officers who attended the meeting included ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; ACD, Sushil Khajuria; ExEn REW, Bashir Ahmed and Block Development Officers.
A discussion on various points including person-days generation, aadhar seeding, timely payments, tendering of works, Geo-tagging of assets, PMAY-G, bunkers, B2V etc was held threadbare in the meeting.
Talking about the progress made under persons day generation, the DDC expressed huge dismay over low progress of some blocks in this regard.
He directed the concerned officers to take effective measures to mitigate the shortfall and ensure that fifty percent PDs are generated by 31 Ist of December 2021.
Discussing the timely payments of wages, he directed the BDOs to ensure timely payment of wages in favour of the works of the job card holders, besides asking them to take strict actions against the non performing officials without any fail.
Reviewing the progress regarding the tendering of works, it was informed that out of 2519 works, the tenders of 2228 works have been floated.
Taking serious note of the allotment rate, the DDC asked the ExEn REW to ensure that all the works are tendered at the earliest besides he was also directed to expedite the allotment of tenders.
While reviewing the progress regarding Aadhar Seeding, the DDC directed for achieving hundred percent of all the beneficiaries of the district at the earliest.
Regarding the geo-tagging of the assets, he asked the BDOs to make sure that all the assets are geo-tagged within the shortest possible time.
Taking stock of the progress made under PMAY-G, it was informed that out of 30661 houses targeted for the current financial year, the work on 11242 stands completed.
He asked the concerned officers to make sure that all the houses being constructed under the scheme are completed within the already set deadline. Discussing the progress made under bunker construction, it was informed that out of 1867, the work on 1497 is complete.
DDC asked for expediting the pace of work for the timely completion of bunkers.
Speaking during the meeting, the DDC stressed on the concerned officers/officials to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of the ongoing works and directed for regular monitoring of works.
Calling for putting in all possible efforts to ensure completion of works in set timelines, the DDC asked the concerned officers to work in tandem and close coordination with the PRIs and villagers to ensure effective implementation of the welfare schemes on ground for benefit of the general population.
He also stressed on creation of durable assets while strictly adhering to quality parameters besides he also directed for productive and judicious utilisation of works provided for the execution of the developmental works.
