Secretary RDD Reviews Developmental Projects
03 November, 2016, By Cross Town NewsSRIANGAR, NOV 03:- Secretary Rural Development Department (RDD) and Panchayati Raj, Kifayat Hussain Rizvi, today chaired a meeting to review ongoing developmental projects under RDD.
Director RDD& PR, Gazanfar Ali, Director Rural Sanitation, Superintending Engineers, ACDs, DPOs, BDO,s AEEs, Programme officers and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the Secretary impressed upon the officers to speed up the pace of all ongoing works so that they can be completed well in time. He stressed he officers to utilize funds for the pending works and generate awareness about various State and centrally sponsored welfare schemes for the socio-economic upliftment of the people.
It was given out that during the current fiscal under MGNREGA Rs 154.18 crore have been spent on 15813 works, under PMAY-G Rs 3.79 crore have been spent for 1694 works. Similarly for flood protection works against the availability of Rs15 crore about Rs 8.76 crore have been utilized.
The Secretary said the RDD works have potential to change the socio-economic landscape of the State, adding that in this regard concerned officers must work with utmost dedication and added zeal so that all RDD schemes yield desired results.
