SRINAGAR: The District Election Officer, (Deputy Commissioner) Srinagar has convened a meeting of the political parties today regarding the conduct of Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls with reference to 01 January, 2017 as the qualifying date.
The District Election Officer apprised the representatives of political parties about the revision programme ordered by the Election Commission of India. With a view to ensure more involvement of political parties they have been requested to appoint the Booth level Agents (BLAs) in their respective/relevant part of polling area/station who will assist the concerned Booth level Officer (BLOs) in preparation/ updation of error free electoral rolls while conducting the said revision/survey.
