REASI, OCTOBER 27: District Development Commissioner Reasi, Ravinder Kumar today convened a meeting with the members of Road Safety Committee, District officers and prominent people for the formulation and implementation of traffic management plan in the district.
SSP Tahir Bhat, Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi Shiv Kumar Gupta, ACR Abdul Sattar, ARTO Diksha Bamba, CEO Vinod Kumar Soni were also present in the meeting.
Expressing concern over rise in the number of accidents in the district, the DDC directed the concerned departments to remain vigilant and take action against traffic violations. He asked ARTO to organize awareness camps on Road safety measures and traffic rules and Regulations' for sensitizing the people. He further directed the CEO to conduct programmes on Road Safety in order to aware the youth about the importance of helmets and seat belts while driving.
Suggestions were also sought from the participants for improving traffic management and checking accidents.
