JAMMU, May 28:May 30th marks seven years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi government at the centre. However, given the surge in Covid-19 cases and devastating second wave, BJP J&K general secretary and former MLC Vibodh Gupta in a press conference said that no celebratory event will be held to mark the anniversary instead various Sewa programmes will be organised throughout Jammu and Kashmir.
Vibodh Gupta said that 30th May should be celebrated as another opportunity to express our gratitude to the people who exhibited faith in the leadership of the Bhartiya Janta Party and brought us to power. He said that mega 'Sewa hi Sangathan' campaign will be organised at booth level. Blood donation camps, distribution of ration kits, masks, sanitizers and more will be held with the Sankalp to ensure “Mera Booth Corona Mukt”.
He strongly asserted that during the ongoing Covid19 pandemic, BJP Karyakartas ensure service to the common masses round the clock. “From distributing food and visiting hospitals for assisting attendants of Covid19 patients, blood donation camps, helpline numbers to running volunteer kitchens, Bhartiya Janta Party Karyakartas are fighting at every front as frontline warriors to combat Covid19 menace. For BJP workers, the nation is first and serving the fellow countrymen is their Sankalp”, Vibodh stated.
