J&K: ACB books former DC in disproportionate assets case


Srinagar, April 01: The Anti-Corruption Bureau has booked former Deputy Commissioner  and Chairman Jamaat-e-Aitqaad International, Farooq Ahmad Renzu, in a disproportionate assets case.

The ACB has registered a case (FIR no. 03/2021 dated 23-03-2021) in a disproportionate assets case against him but surprisingly no press statement was issued by the ACB.

The retired bureaucrat has assets worth crores of rupees disproportionate to his known sources of income & Renzu has amassed huge chunk of land including that in Dachigam locality and he has assets outside Kashmir as well.

He has three houses in Srinagar worth crores of rupees.

ACB is conducting further investigations into his disproportionate assets which he has acquired during his tenure as Government servant fraudulently.

Renzu besides serving as Director Information was Deputy Commissioner Budgam and Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation.

He retired few years ago.
