
Kulgam, Mar 18: Dr. Bilal Mohiud din Bhat, a 2017 batch IAS officer took charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Kulgam district on Thursday.
Mr Showkat Aijaz Bhat handed over charge to the new Deputy Commissioner, an official release said.
Dr Bilal Mohiud din, a young and dynamic officer was earlier posted as Sub Divisional Magistrate, Karnah-Tangdhar in North Kashmir’s border district Kupwara.
On assuming charge as DC Kulgam, Dr Bilal stated that he will carry forward the pace of development in the district and his priority would be prompt service delivery and holistic development of the region with special focus on health, education, youth empowerment and completing the ongoing infrastructural project on time and bridging gaps if any.
It is worth to mention that during the tenure of SDM, Dr Bilal was known among people for his people centric work culture. Over the last one year, there has been a significant improvement in all the sectors especially Education (Introducing innovative learning in winter classes), Health (Enhancing infrastructure through innovation fund pooling mechanism under B2V program) and also speeding up of 120 community bunkers construction in Karnah Tangdhar areas.
Dr Bilal Mohiuddin was topper in CSE 2016 securing All India 10th rank and was allotted J&K cadre. Before joining IAS, Dr Bilal had also served in Indian Forest Services (IFS) batch 2013 for four years and was posted in Lucknow.
