
SRINAGAR, Aug 30: Senior PDP leader and MP Srinagar, Tariq Karra has threatened to resign if all his efforts of protesting or agitating against the Government’s failures on restoration of peace fail to change situation on the ground.
Karra, in a statement, reacting to suggestion of the joint resistance leadership that all elected representatives of the mainstream political parties including MLAs, MLCs and the Parliamentarians should resign, said he was very closely watching the situation and even protesting and agitating on it within available means.
Karra said “As and when I would feel that all other available means have failed in restoring peace and tranquility in the State and normalizing the situation, I would not hesitate to quit as Member Parliament."
Sources in PDP, told Cross Town News that Tariq Karra is fumed on leadership of PDP and may take decision of quiting in cming days, but that will depend on how he goes on with things.
