Youth must involve in Physical fitness activities: Sat Sharma


 

Jammu, Dec 28: With a motive to encourage the youth towards physical fitness, a Bench Press competition of men and women was held in Power Fitness Gym at Talab Tillo area. Former State President BJP and Ex Minister Sat Sharma (CA) was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He was also accompanied by Guest of honor JMC Corporator Ward 40 Neelam Nargotra and many others.

 

The event was organized by Sahil who is a professional Gym Trainer and also a National Player in Body Building. National Players in Bench Press and Body building Kamal Jeet Singh, Vikrant Sharma and Iqbal were the judges. The winner in the strongest Girls category was Meenu Kalotra (Gold Medalist) and winner in the strongest Men category was Kunal Verma who lifted the 150 kg Bench and got the title.   

 

Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it is indeed a great initiative to promote the talent of youth in Jammu and Kashmir and by organizing such events in a routine will motivate others as well towards physical fitness. He said the slogan of “Fit India” given by our PM Narendra Modi is not mere a slogan but an important step to follow to keep ourselves fit in these pandemic times and the event organizers have positively followed that slogan which will spread a positive message amongst youth. He also advised youth to stay away from things which are dangerous for the career of youth and asked them to involve in creative activities in order to keep their mind, body and soul fit in every course of action.

 

Neelam Nargotra appreciated the efforts of the organizers and said that fitness is a must in today’s time. She also stated that in coming times such type of events including Sports events will be organized in the Ward to attract hundreds of youth towards physical fitness.

 

Sachin Nargotra, Rahul Nargotra, Anil Sarmal, Mulkhraj Bangotra, Mohit Gupta and others were present.
