Jammu Chamber Demands Extension In VAT Filing By 2 Months

SRINAGAR, Aug 24: Rakesh Gupta President Chamber of Commerce & Industry in a communication apprised Dr. Haseeb A Drabu, Hon’ble Finance Minister J&K State that because of the prevailing law and order situation on ground in Kashmir Valley, the business people throughout the state have been directly or indirectly effected and still there is no sigh of relief and the members of the business community are not in a position to deposit the VAT amount or file VAT returns.

the statement said" In view of the above facts the Hon’ble Finance Minister was requested to extend the last date for filing of VAT returns as well as the last date to deposit the VAT tax for the first quarter 2016-2017 atleast by two months."
