Jammu, October 22: Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh inaugurated the Model Police Naka at Jakheni Chowk along the Udhampur-Srinagar National Highway and also inaugurated Police Martyrs Memorial Sports festival at District Police Lines Udhampur.
The sports festival shall comprise of different sports events like kabbadi, volleyball tournaments as well as cultural programmes. Various sports teams from District Udhampur shall be participating in this sports event.
IGP Jammu, DIG U-R Range, SSP Udhampur along with other police officers interacted with the players and assured them of providing all kind of support to boost sports activities and channelize the talent of the youth of district .
Mukesh Singh also held Crime meeting with all SDPOs and SHOs in which the scenario for the forthcoming Navratra festivals, Panchayat/Zila Parishad Elections in UT J&K were also discussed.
