JAMMU, July 17 : Editor in Chief of Cross Town News, Member J&K Sports Council & J&K Transport Advisory Committee, Rahil Gupta has written an open letter to IAS topper of 2010 batch and J&K cadre IAS officer , Shah Faesel , over his “ might resign “ post on social media.
The content of letter of Rahil is :
“ Mr Faesel
In 2010 , you became Role model for many not only in Kashmir but across Jammu & Kashmir as you became the first local lad from the state to top the prestigious IAS exam.
Many wanted to repeat your success and one local lad almost achieved it and got the second rank this year.
In my personal opinion you have blown out juxaposting comment . The shades were shown to make people who are wrong path to follow the right path and ask them to make Shah Faesel as role model rather than any one else.
But your recent post on social media and your “might resign” comment will give enough reason to youth of Jammu & Kashmir to move away from Civil services.
Number of youth of the state wanted to be Shah Faesel or like any other IAS officer belonging to the state and perform duties for the development of the state.
But your recent comments may give them reasons to move away from the Civil services.
The situation was so critical in Kashmir , Many died and hundreds seriously injured, your comments at this juncture can give a wrong message to the youth of Kashmir in particular.
In addition to this you hold the important charge of Director School Education , Your comment would have travelled masses in to the students of Jammu & Kashmir and what message they would have got?
Shah Faesel , you are a Role Model , I would like to see you as Role Model but not as a person who lost it when things turned tough.
Rahil Gupta “
